ANOKA LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER
Over the past 15 years, our firm has proudly partnered with the City of Anoka on numerous projects, including a new golf course maintenance facility, significant renovations to their Public Safety Center, a new liquor store design, a design for a new dispensary, and various other projects and studies. One of the standout projects in this collaboration is a two-story facility that serves dual purposes, supporting the city's animal control efforts and law enforcement operations.
At the street level, the facility integrates an animal control center that is thoughtfully designed to provide easy access for the public. This portion of the building is a valuable resource for the community, offering various services, including an office area, a public waiting area, and interior and exterior dog kennels. Feline kennels, a grooming area, quarantine, and examination spaces are also incorporated into the design, ensuring the city can effectively care for and manage animals in need. By fostering a positive and accessible relationship between law enforcement and residents through this facility, the city reinforces its commitment to public safety and community service.
The lower level of the building, in contrast, is restricted to authorized police personnel and equipped with enhanced security features to ensure safety and confidentiality. This highly secure area plays a crucial role in the training and operational needs of the police department. It includes a state-of-the-art firing range for firearms training, a simulator room for realistic scenario-based training, a dedicated gun cleaning room, a secure armory for storing weapons and equipment, and a well-equipped training room. The lower level also provides essential amenities such as restrooms and lockers for law enforcement personnel, further supporting the daily operations of the police department.
Strategically located adjacent to the main police station, this facility relieves pressure on the existing police department building
